Roxanne Wells-Peris holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology from the University of Queensland. She holds a Masters of Clinical Psychology from the Australian Catholic University. Roxanne is also a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). Roxanne has also completed specialised training in EMDR Trauma Therapy.
She is the Director and Principal Psychologist at Happy Brain in Booval, Queensland. They have expertise in working with people who are neurodiverse, meaning they may be on the Autism Spectrum and ADHD or perhaps Dyslexia or Tourette’s.
At Happy Brain, they understand that these differences can make simple everyday tasks really challenging. Happy Brain take a strength based approach, focusing on utilising what you or your child are good at and utilising these towards therapeutic goals. They also adopt Neurodiverse Affirming Practices.
Through Roxanne’s career she has practiced with children, adolescents, adults and families across a range of settings including school, home and inpatient settings. Her passion is for working with neurodiverse individuals (Autism Spectrum, ADHD etc) and offers a collaborative, flexible approach to therapy with the individual’s goals at the centre of treatment.
